Hulala Fitness in the News
|
Fitness columnist, Vicky Hallett, of The Washington
Post, enjoyed a special hour of HoopFit! on a lovely
summer evening. She is a fitness columnist for a
reason - quite fit and agile, she was spinning and
grinning in no time, and really packed a punch during
the HoopBox portion of the workout.
The wonderful Lawrence Luk took awesome photos.
You can see Vicky's online article about the class here.
or check out the print version here.
Please note that she refers to Hoopmotion, which is
Hulala Fitness' previous identity.
IDEA Fitness Journal includes a column which highlights
innovations in the fitness industry. Entitled Creative
Ideas That Inspire, and written by Joy Keller, this
column added Hulala's HoopFit! class to its list of new
and creative fitness classes.
Because the column is only accessible to IDEA and ACE
members, I have posted the writeup here.

In the latest issue of the National Strength and
Conditioning Association’s Performance Training
Journal, author Kyle Brown is talking hula hoops
when it comes to building core strength. “Every
muscle in your core gets work, from the obliques
and abdominals to your glutes.”
Hooping can control body weight according to a
new study examining the physical benefits from
the American College of Sports Medicine.
